“Hong Kong Pioneer Dragon” 「香港第一龍」

Hong Kong famous ancient tomb sites with real dragon points are essentially the 'Woman Kneeling Posture', 'The Seat of Immortal', 'Kirin Spit Book of Jade' and 'The Thirsty Horse Drinking Fountain'. The forceful and gigantic parent hill for the above tomb sites originated from the 'Hong Kong Pioneer Dragon'.

The virgin photos would be the Peak of Hong Fa Leng. The scenario of such mountain is synonymous with PRC China’s Pioneer Dragon, which is San Hai Kwan (山海關). The powerful, forceful and huge formation as a result of volcanic explosion had created such movements. From the parent hill of Wu Tong san (悟恫山), such dragon moves and forms gaps via Sha Tao Kok and San Ling Ser, and forms the peak at Hong Far Leng (紅花嶺), without realizing the fact that such a small area is the icon of the parent hill for many mountaineers.

In other words, this is the heart as well as the throat of Hong Kong. If such a hill is destroyed or 'rundown' due to lack of good protection or for some other reasons then the fate or quality of the people of Hong Kong will go under as well. This is a serious matter as a country or territory is often guarded by its parent hill. We will notice from the peak of Hong Far Leng, the liveliness of such gigantic movements and its divergence to the surrounding topography created the current status of Hong Kong. The northern part oversees the Tai Pang Wan (大鵬灣), while the southern part oversees the Tai Mou Shan (大帽山); such an alignment satisfies the Yin and Yang principal.

The 'Hong Kong Pioneer Dragon' was a restricted zone in the hands of British as it served as a distinguishing point between Hong Kong and PRC China land.  The Royal Military of British guarded this area before the handover of Hong Kong. After the handover of Hong Kong to PRC China in 1997, this area is now guarded by the Hong Kong police force, and it is no longer a restricted zone. For the hiking lovers, this is one of the favorite sites to go.
