Xuan
Kong Zhang Pai Round Diagram
This
revolutionary finding by Grand Master Lau Rui Shan has created a breakthrough in
Feng Shui in particular the Xuan Kong Da Gua or 64 Guas Feng Shui school. This
indeed rebutted the traditional Lo-Kang or Chinese Compass that has been in used
more that 1200 years without us realizing the ‘error’ that has been embedded
in it. This is no intention what so ever to create uneasiness among current
practitioners and by no means posses a challenge to them. It is merely
disclosing the finding that at least in out point of view to rectify the error
and to funnel the idea of using the right tool at the right place at the right
time and perhaps for the right people to use. Therefore we welcome critics on
this issue.
Before
I go on to elaborate Master Lau or Xuan Kong Zhang Pai Round Diagram, I would
like to offer my humble opinion according to my limited knowledge in short in
regards to the evolution of Lo Kang. There is disagreement as the exact date of
the invention of Chinese Compass. The earliest reference to a specific magnetic
direction finder device is recorded in a Song Dynasty book dated to 1040-44.The
Chinese compass had evolved from using ‘spoon’ or magnetic lodestone, with
south-pointing fish in a bowl of water etc. Many ancient tombstones have
suggested that the use of Chinese Compass were years before that.
It
is believed that the Chinese Compass has been in used for more than 2000 years
with many facelift changes such as add on layers and the reason is not hard to
understand since different time and space offer different levels of
understanding with certain needs and techniques. The human mind comprehension of
the universe indeed improve over time and thus many ancients techniques and
methodologies are becoming obsolete and some even outdated with missing pieces.
For instance the development of three tiers of 24 mountains was added on at
different time and space. The Xuan Kong Da Gua or 64 Guas in my limited
knowledge has been incorporated into the Lo Kang (Chinese Compass) around 1200
years ago of course many will disagree and some will argue earlier and some
argue later. The closest proof of the incorporation of 64 Guas into Lo Kang was
first mentioned in the book by Sun Zhang Kang.
The
ancient Yeh Chiu Seng Lo Kang (葉公九升古羅盤)with
only 60 Guas (rather than 64 Guas) were embedded in the ninth layer. This Lo
Kang were used by Huan Yun Monk (幻雲和尚)
to determine the Gua for sitting direction with the incorporation and use of
Jiaje. This is also to detect the auspicious site generate by Sha and Water
elements. The use of later days Bagua of Ham, Kan, Chan, Shun, Lei, Kwan, Dui
and Kin palaces to generate Zhong Guas of Chan, Shun, Lei, Kwan, Dui, Kin, Ham
and Kan to produce the Later days 60 Guas. Four main Direction of Ham, Lei, Chan
and Dui were discarded.
Yeh Chiu Seng Lo Kang (葉公九升古羅盤)with only 60 Guas (rather than 64 Guas) were embedded in the ninth layer.
Let us take a course of the formation of Xuan Kong Zhang Pai Diagram
Let
us fill in the Kin Palace with the Lok Shu numbers of 94382761 (the order of lok
Shu numbers) with the usual 5 in the center.
The
second step is to fill up the Kwan Palace with lok Shu numbers that satisfy the
combine 10 theory. See the outer 9 in Kin and outer 1 in Kwan combined into 10
and the next number in Kin is 4 with the next number in Kwan is 6 that also
resulted in 10 and so on.
The
third step is to create a ‘creation numbers with diagonal numbers. We use the
first number in Kin palace which is 9 to have the creation number with A and as
you might know the number in the Early Days Bagua is Dui which is 4 that
naturally satisfy the 94 creation numbers. Guess what come next with second
number of Kin Palace with the B? In
this case the B should be 4! See the diagram below.
The
rule here is to have the left and right numbers in creation numbers and the top
and bottom with married coupled or combine 10 theory.
I
will let you figure out how to complete the above tables but no peeking please.
Wah
la! The completion! The left and right numbers are in creation while the top and
bottom in married couple or combine 10 theory or numbers.
This
diagram has combined the natural law of both Yin and Yang (see the different
colors of red and green.
We
have come to a critical step in the Xuan Kong Zhang Pai Diagram formation and
should you confuse please go back to first step and come again other wise the
only thing you will get is headache. We come to the stage of plotting the Guas
numbers as well as Guas Symbols. This process will lead us to plot all the 64
Guas. The above clearly described the Guas numbers and the Guas symbols with the
top as Summer solstice (words in red) while the Winter solstice at the bottom
(words in green). The left side with Yang nature since the first Yang has
emerged from winter solstice, on the right side is Yin nature with the rational
that the first Yin emerges from the Summer solstice.
All
the Chinese words are Guas name for 64 Guas.
We
have plotted all the 64 Guas that satisfy the following reasons:
1. The Natural Yin and Yang theory (陰阳儀)
2. The Law of Yang emerges while the
Yin subsides theory (陰消陽長)
3. The 64 Guas formation based on the stacking
process theory (重卦)
This
is to clearly define the Parents Guas of all in circle.
We have plotted all the 64 Guas that
satisfy the following reasons:
1.
The Natural Yin and Yang theory (陰阳儀)
2.
The Law of Yang emerges while the Yin subsides theory (陰消陽長)
3.
The 64 Guas formation based on the stacking process theory (重卦)
4.
The combine 10 or married couple numbers(合十數)
5.
The creation numbers (生成數)
6.
The inner layer of 94382761(in Chinese) are the Guas Periods (卦運)
7.
The Arabic numbers is the summation of the Guas Periods and Guas Numbers
that turn out to be odd or even (奇偶數)
Thus
far the reasons for plotting this diagram has been the only reason things are in
natural law of order.
Now
let us examine the Zhao Yung Lo Kang that existed more than 1000 years ago
without being openly question it rational.
ZHAO
YUNG Round Table
The
Zhao Yung round table is using the sequence of 94382761 clockwise (see table
from right to the left) and the similar sequence from left to right only this
time it is arranged from the top.
The
64 Guas were ‘arranged’ in accordance with the process of Yao Changes.
The
result of Xuan Kong Zhang Pai Round Table with 4 main Guas at the right place
with evenly distributed
Zhao
Yung round table that is not evenly distributed and does not satisfy the
following reasons:
1.
The Natural Yin and Yang theory (陰阳儀)
2.
The Law of Yang emerges while the Yin subsides theory (陰消陽長)
3.
The 64 Guas formation based on the stacking process theory (重卦)
4.
The combine 10 or married couple numbers(合十數)
